What I do

Claraliz had always performed as either a soprano or a harpist until she decided to do both at the same time! Since her debut at the Corvedale Music Festival in England in September 2022, she now takes you on a wonderful musical journey through different genres (opera, oratorio, Latin songs, Celtic songs and film music), accompanying herself on the classical harp. ​

Claraliz began her singing career as a zarzuela and opera singer in New York City with the ensemblesAmigos de la Zarzuela andIdentity Productions. She then made her solo opera debut asVioletta inLa Traviatain Veracruz, Mexico which was the gateway to more solo roles includingRosina out ofThe Barber of Seville andMicaela out ofcarmen. 

Claraliz loves to perform with an orchestra! Whether opera arias, duets, concert or oratorio works. She is definitely in her element!

Staying true to her Latin American roots, Claraliz founded the duo with her husband Oliver Puerckhauer (bass-baritone).Sol Latino, where they sing NOT ONLY classical music with their beautiful, classically trained voices, but also concert songs from Mexico, zarzuelas from Spain, tangos from Argentina, and musical theater from the USA, accompanied by either piano, harp or a mariachi band.

El Chabacano is Germany's first Latin American musical created by Rodrigo Vidal and Gala Montero.

Claraliz is part of the cast and plays the role ofLuna, a Mexican philosophy student living in Germany.

Claraliz also performs "only" as a harpist in various concerts and recitals, and as an invited second harpist in various orchestral projects and concerts in Mexico and Germany.
